Engel & Völkers Southern Africa Success with conversions

Engel & Völkers both internationally and in Southern Africa has shown tremendous growth, even during the Covid year of 2020, the international group has shown sales commission growth of 10% Year to date as at the end of October. In South Africa the Engel & Völkers network has produced a transactional growth of 11% year to date when compared to the prior year. “This is testament to the dedication and passion that the Engel & Völkers network in South Africa has to the brand and the industry in the country and we look forward to even further growth as we roll out the Engel & Völkers footprint in South Africa.” commented Craig Hutchison Master License Partner for South Africa.

Engel & Völkers has had a number of new licenses as well as independent agencies converting to the brand during the course of the year. This has led to our network growing by 20% during the current year. “ A lot of this success can be attributed to the calibre of our Area Partners that we are currently recruiting within the network” says Grant Wheeler Master License Partner for South Africa. “We have been consistently recruiting professionals that can see the value of making a career out of the property industry and understand the power of an international brand and network in furthering their careers.” Concludes Grant.

One of the recent independent agencies that joined the brand could not be happier with their decision to make the change. Even though their brokerage agency was successful in the past having run it for more than ten years, Johan and Ansie van den Berg wanted to take their business to the next level. After signing and securing the Waterkloof (Pretoria Old East) license area in July of 2020 and going through the onboarding with the company by October of 2020 they had their record month of sales since starting in the industry.
