El Masnou: Location and surroundings of this property

El Masnou, Maresme region, is a municipality in the province of Barcelona, in the autonomous community of Catalonia in Spain. It is located 19 km from the Catalan capital Barcelona. The municipal area is crossed by the Maresme Highway (C-32) and by the old N-II road. It is fabulously communicated along the entire coast thanks to its railway station. The relief is characterized by the coastal strip between Premià de Mar and Montgat, its altitude oscillates between 75 meters above sea level and the urban center rises to 26 meters. Its beach is 25 meters wide and 1,100 meters long, and its climate is Mediterranean with moderate temperatures. El Masnou is considered to have a long historical duration as a high-level municipality for second homes since the end of the 19th century. Its proximity to Barcelona makes it an ideal place for those who are considering leaving a dense urban center and moving closer of nature and tranquility. Gastronomy takes center stage during the gastronomic fair in May and the gastronomic days in November. In the latter, wine and grapes are the protagonists of the kitchens of the main restaurants in the area. In El Masnou there are two football clubs: Club Deportivo Masnou and Atletic de Masnou. Like the rest of the Maresme municipalities, El Masnou offers throughout the year, but especially in summer, a wide and diverse tourist and leisure offer related to the sea. In sailing, the El Masnou Yacht Club stands out, as well as its Basketball Club and the Artistic Skating Club, which throughout its recent history has reaped successes such as provincial, state and European championships.
