Located in the prestigious neighborhood of Galvany and next to the Parc de Monterols. Sant Gervasi-Galvany is a neighborhood in the district of Sarrià-Sant Gervasi in the city of Barcelona. The name of the neighborhood refers to Saint Gervasius, as it was the lower part of this municipality until its annexation to Barcelona, and to Camp d'en Galvany, the development of which began in 1866 by its owner, Josep Castelló y Galvany, who also gave his other surname to Castelló Square. The name Galvany became popular when the Galvany market adopted it.
Galvany is one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in the city. Its public transportation connections (bus, metro, and FGC) are excellent. It is noted for its prestigious municipal market, a great variety of shops and services, supermarkets, and restaurants to suit all tastes.
