This location of Playa de Palma is the closest to Palma. The immediate neighbouring cove is Molinar and Portixol and is therefore well frequented all year round. Can Pastilla is a big tourist hotspot in summer, thanks to its many hotels. However, Can Pastilla also has many long-term flats that are occupied all year round, by both local and foreign visitors. The actual beach "Platja de Palma" is about 4.5 km long and stretches from Can Pastilla in the west to S'Arenal/Llucmajor in the east, with the Torrent de Jueus marking the border between Palma and Llucmajor. The Platja de Palma is visually divided into 15 beach sections (balnearios), each with a beach bar bearing the number of the respective beach section. From "0" in Can Pastilla to "9" in Arenal.
