Central heating, Gas heatingThe municipality of Montmeló has a surface area of 4.11 km2 and is located in the Vallés Oriental region, just 20 km from Barcelona. Montmeló has almost 9,000 habitants and is a basically residential municipality that has been characterized by a very orderly urban growth, with many areas of low-density housing, wide spaces and green areas. In 1911 the Circuit de Catalunya was inaugurated, built mostly in the municipality of Montmeló, which has made the name of the municipality known all over the world. The municipality conserves an important archaeological heritage, mainly due to the sites from the Roman Republican period, including the Roman villa of Can Massot, in the town center, and the site of Can Tacó on the Tres Creus mountain. The latter has been declared a Cultural Asset of National Interest in the category of archaeological site. The town has a wide range of cultural, sporting, educational and leisure activities that take place in the different municipal facilities: music school, library, cultural centers, multi-purpose hall, primary and secondary schools, nursery, sports pavilion, football pitch, swimming pools, sports courts, adult education centers, center for the elderly, occupational training centers, museum and primary care centers. It should be noted that the municipality is a town with very good public transport links (train and bus station) as well as by road where we highlight the AP-7, one of the main communication routes with the rest of Europe, the C17 (Barcelona-Vic) and the C33.
