Chauffage au gazA few kilometers from Madrid is the Royal Site of El Pardo, a place of great heritage and ecological wealth. Former kings' hunting ground, the forest of the place reaches 13,000 hectares. Without a doubt, its beautiful palace stands out among so much beauty and history. The El Pardo palace was originally a hunting lodge for King Enrique III (1405), increased by Carlos V and his son Felipe II and by the Bourbons Felipe V, Carlos III and Carlos IV, who gave it its current shape on Plans by Francesco Sabatini. Fuencarral-El Pardo is one of the 21 districts that make up the city of Madrid. Administratively it is divided into the neighborhoods of El Pardo (81), Fuentelarreina (82), Peñagrande (83), Pilar (84), La Paz (85), Valverde (86), Mirasierra (87) and El Goloso (88). This district is the largest, but not the most populated. As Monte de El Pardo is found within it, the urbanized areas represent less than 50% of the district. It is also a business district, as many large companies have their headquarters there. It represents the north end of the city and is one of the greenest as it is close to the border between the city and the wooded areas of the north. To the north, it borders the municipalities of Hoyo de Manzanares, Colmenar Viejo and Tres Cantos. To the northeast, it borders the Soto de Viñuelas urbanization (Tres Cantos), the municipality of San Sebastián de los Reyes (including the Ciudalcampo urbanization, the Fuente del Fresno urbanization, the La Granjilla urbanization, and the Dehesa Boyal) and that of Alcobendas, the Monte de Valdelatas, the division that forms in Cantoblanco through the M-616 El Goloso-Alcobendas highway, and the urban continuum that forms at the height of the Telefónica District with the La Moraleja Business Park through the M- 603 Fuencarral-Alcobendas and the road that leads to Avenida del Monte Valdelatas in Alcobenda), in the neighborhoods of El Pardo, El Goloso and Las Tablas. To the northwest, it borders the population center of Las Matas (Las Rozas de Madrid), the population center of Los Peñascales and the Finca El Pendolero (Torrelodones). To the south, it borders the Tetuán district (in the Valdeacederas neighborhood) separated by Villaamil street in the El Pilar neighborhood, and with the Moncloa-Aravaca district. To the southeast, it borders the Tetuán district (in the Almenara neighborhood), separated by Sinesio Delgado street (even numbers are part of Fuencarral-El Pardo) in the La Paz neighborhood. To the southwest, it borders the Moncloa-Aravaca district separated by the La Florida urbanization farm and the M-40 highway in the El Pardo neighborhood, and the division of Arroyofresno street together with the intersection formed by the M- 605 (Carretera de El Pardo) and M-30 in the Fuentelarreina neighborhood (bordering on the Ciudad Puerta de Hierro residential area). To the east, it borders the Hortaleza district (bordering on the Sanchinarro area), separated by the A-1 in the Las Tablas area, and the Chamartín district (bordering on the Castilla neighborhood) in the La Paz, separated by the M-30 motorway and Paseo de la Castellana (the odd numbers are part of Fuencarral-El Pardo in this section). To the west, it borders the municipality of Las Rozas de Madrid in the El Pardo neighborhood (including the population center of Mingorrubio). In short, almost all the roads lead us to Pardo, A1, M30, M40, M605, M607, M616. By bus lines 601 and 602.
