The village of Sant Joan is located in the centre of the island, the authentic Mallorca, surrounded by beautiful hilly landscapes. Away from the masses of tourists where you can really enjoy the tranquillity that the island has to offer. It is known for being the most agricultural village on the island, so much so that in recent years Sant Joan has introduced new agricultural techniques that have revolutionised the sector. With just over 2,000 inhabitants, the centrally located village of Sant Joan offers several supermarkets, restaurants and cafés, as well as a pharmacy, and other useful facilities for daily needs. It is bordered by the municipalities of Petra, Villafranca de Bonany, Montuïri, Lloret de Vistalegre, and Sineu. The town celebrates its local festivities on the 29th August, which include several concerts and an impressive fireworks display. Sant Joan is very well known due to its central location. It is only 10 minutes away from the emblematic village of Sineu, the ancient capital of Mallorca in Roman times. The centre of Palma can be reached in 40 minutes by car, as well as the nearby beaches. The airport is 35 minutes away.
