Nestled between the Weitlingkiez to the north, Victoriastadt (also known as Kaskelkiez) to the west, and Rummelsburg Bay to the south, the “Das Lichtenhain” quarter lies within a park-like complex of approx. 19,000 m². The site forms a haven of peace in the midst of the bustling metropolis of Berlin. Nöldnerplatz and Weitlingstrasse, with numerous shopping options, are within walking distance. In addition, excellent infrastructure provides a wide range of supermarkets, doctors’ offices, and other shops for everyday needs. The directly adjacent historic Victoriastadt impresses with its many picturesque, listed Wilhelminian-era buildings. Here you will find established structures, small-scale retail, studios, galleries, cafés and restaurants in well-kept period buildings that invite you to stroll. Boxhagener Platz, in the nearby trendy district of Friedrichshain, is also easily reachable by bicycle in about 10 minutes. Every Saturday, the weekly market—well known far beyond the area—takes place there, where farmers from the region offer their fresh produce. Rummelsburg Shore offers one of Berlin’s most beautiful running routes as well as numerous water-sports options. Public transport connections are also excellent. The Nöldnerplatz S-Bahn station is in the immediate vicinity; from there you can reach Alexanderplatz in about 10 minutes and the Central Station directly in under 20 minutes. Via Ostkreuz station, the Ringbahn takes you to destinations throughout the city as well as to BER Airport in under 30 minutes.
