Description
Nestled on the gentle hills bordering Palma de Mallorca’s coveted green belt, El Casal de Bunyola rises as a residence that fully embodies its name. In Catalan tradition, “El Casal” refers to the grand and significant house of a village—an enduring landmark deeply rooted in its surroundings. This exceptional retreat serves as an urban sanctuary where tranquility, privacy, and connectivity exist in perfect harmony.
From the moment of arrival, residents are greeted by a breathtaking 220-degree panorama. To one side, the majestic Tramuntana mountain range unfolds across the horizon, while to the other, the sweeping Bay of Palma and the glittering lights of the city create a captivating backdrop. Despite its complete privacy, the estate enjoys remarkable accessibility, placing the charming village of Santa Maria just 9 minutes away, historic Valldemossa within 14 minutes, Palma’s Plaza España in 15 minutes, and the international airport in a convenient 20-minute drive.
Yet the true greatness of this estate is measured not merely in numbers, but in the unparalleled sense of freedom embodied by its architectural concept: Pura Dimensión. Here, pure dimension transcends prestige—it represents space in its most meaningful form. Space for every mood, every occasion, and every individual to find their own private sanctuary, simultaneously and without compromise.
Set within an expansive private park estate of approximately 23,000 square meters, the villa offers around 900 square meters of meticulously crafted living space. The outdoor experience extends across a further 700 square meters of terraces, thoughtfully divided into a collection of bespoke outdoor lounges, each with its own distinctive atmosphere.
These include a generous barbecue terrace overlooking the Bay of Palma, a secluded pool terrace, a spectacular rooftop terrace with panoramic views, and a sunken lounge terrace. Beneath gently swaying palms, complete with an open fire feature and relaxed lounge seating, this intimate setting creates a world entirely of its own. For collectors and enthusiasts of exceptional automobiles, the impressive underground Car Gallery spans 220 square meters, providing a private showroom with space for up to eight vehicles.
The interior has been conceived with the refinement of an exclusive design boutique hotel while preserving the warmth and comfort of a private family residence. Each of the six bedrooms has been designed as a fully independent suite, complete with an en-suite bathroom and its own covered private terrace.
The carefully considered layout comprises a spacious master suite, which can alternatively be configured as two bedrooms or as a bedroom with a private office, alongside two generous junior suites and three additional bedrooms, with the possibility of creating a fourth. A particularly distinctive feature is the integrated “A House Within” concept: two fully separable bedrooms with their own living area and independent entrance, offering exceptional discretion for guests, family members, or staff.
Exceptional sleeping comfort is ensured through the premium textile furnishings by Mühldorfer, renowned for supplying some of the world’s most prestigious luxury hotels, including the iconic Burj Al Arab.
Quality is expressed in every detail throughout the residence, with the entire living environment curated around some of the industry's most respected brands. The salon and living spaces feature designer furnishings by Minotti, while the kitchen combines the craftsmanship of SieMatic with premium appliances by Miele and BORA’s innovative cooktop extraction technology.
The bathrooms showcase refined elements from Ritmonio, Cielo, and CasaBath, while the professional outdoor kitchen is likewise equipped with Miele appliances. Completing the al fresco experience are sophisticated outdoor furnishings by Dedon and a bespoke lighting concept by ACB Valencia.
Another architectural highlight is the interplay of art, water, and natural materials surrounding the 95-square-meter designer pool. Along the natural stone walls, large-scale artworks merge with the deep blue water to create a private open-air gallery where contemporary art and architecture meet.
Perhaps the most compelling aspect of El Casal de Bunyola, however, is its extraordinary potential for personalization. While the residence is essentially move-in ready, it remains remarkably adaptable to the individual tastes and lifestyle of its future owner. A dedicated team of specialists is available to implement bespoke modifications and custom requests on a turnkey basis within just ten weeks.
Owners may choose to enhance the property with a pool bar, a private wine cellar, an additional guest kitchen, or further bedroom accommodation. Even the extensive grounds remain highly customizable, with approximately 75 percent of the landscaped areas available for individual design. Whether envisioned as a Mediterranean parkland, a private orchard, an organic vegetable garden, or even a personal vineyard producing estate-grown wines, the possibilities are as expansive as the property itself.
El Casal de Bunyola is more than a residence—it is a rare expression of Pura Dimensión, where architecture creates not simply space, but the freedom to live without limits.
Bunyola is a small village at the foot of the Sierra de Alfábia, surrounded by the Sierra de Tramuntana, with about 7,000 inhabitants and a large area. Bunyola is one of the six largest municipalities of the whole island. The municipality includes dream places such as Orient and the luxurious villa area of Sa Coma, as well as the two estates of Alfábia and Raixa, steeped in history. One of the great riches of this dream area is the so-called "Sa Comuna", one of the largest publicly accessible wooded areas in Mallorca with a cultural hiking route. In the centre of Bunyola you will find the church of San Mateo and the main square, where you can have a good coffee and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this area. The historic wooden railway from Sóller passes through the old Bunyola station on its way to Palma. The village is characterised by its tranquillity, the beauty of its narrow streets, the architecture of its old stone houses and its proximity and good connections to Palma. The town also has two weekly markets which take place on Wednesday and Saturday mornings where one can find fresh vegetables, fruits, clothes and more. The village has good restaurants and cafés. It is about 25 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from the centre of Palma and the nearest beaches.
