Description
This is an 18th-century villa, listed and declared of particular importance by the Ministero per i Beni Culturali e Ambientali. Built between 1760 and 1764, the villa became one of the most beautiful residences in the Valdarno, a favorite area of the aristocracy of the time. Towards the second half of the 19th century, thanks to a skilful restoration, it was returned to its former glory. Imposing and elegant, thanks to its position and the large steps that emphasize its importance, the building is part of the surrounding residential area characterized by rural architecture and arranged in a semicircle. The building, compact and essential, finds all its beauty in the simplicity of its form. Spread over three floors and characterized by a large polychrome stemma on the front, with stone-framed windows on the first floors and, on the top floor, a five-light loggia with lowered arches on large plastered and decorated pillars and a continuous stone sill. The building, entirely plastered with large stone corner blocks, preserves large rooms inside, one of which has a beautiful 18th-century fireplace. The property, measuring approximately 900 square meters on three levels, consists of a basement and storage rooms on the ground floor with a large stone terrace of approximately 120 square meters and a large portico. The upper floor comprises the main living area, with a residence measuring approximately 250 square meters and an apartment measuring 100 square meters. On the top floor, there is an apartment measuring approximately 220 square meters with a terrace featuring a five-light loggia, from which you can admire the harmonious Valdarno valley, as well as two two-room apartments measuring a total of about 100 square meters, which can be combined into a single apartment. The garden has a total area of approximately 750 square meters. Although divided into six apartments, these are all connected and accessible to each other, allowing them to be combined into a single dwelling.
