Located at the "Chorro Steps" at the birth spot of San Miguel and close to the city’s oldest church, this elegant home offers four bedrooms clustered around a central courtyard featuring a large jacaranda tree. Upon entering the home through a set of antique doors, one enters a sanctuary and is greeted by an ofrende, a stone baptismal, and one of three fountains. The house unfurls from there and is terraced on multiple levels to optimize its birds eye views. Its Chorro location offers the perfect combination of being located within Centro (a quick and easy walk to the Jardin), while also having the advantage of being set above the daily street noise that is often associated with Centro locations. Throughout the house, there are many private terraces with views overlooking the city of San Miguel and its multiple churches. All are beautifully appointed with umbrellas and custom-upholstered outdoor furniture, including day beds and couches, for napping the afternoon away. The main large terrace offers an outdoor bar area with a sink with undercounter refrigerator. Its sunset views are amongst the best in the city. The main living room seats six comfortably and has a fireplace and large smart TV for movie nights. The kitchen has a six-burner gas stove and just about any appliance one can imagine. The formal dining room seats eight and is adjacent to the courtyard, which has an outdoor table for six. The second level of the house features an exquisite black “jewel-box” library with leather club chairs, a fireplace, a Smart TV, a game table, a Nespresso machine, and the owners’ private wine cellar and built-in humidor. This home has three master suites appointed with antiques and original art (two with king-sized tester beds and one with a queen-sized bed) private terraces overlooking San Miguel, en suite baths, and fireplaces. The largest suite, located on the upper level, occupies an entire floor and has an adjoining sitting room and bathroom with both a shower and soaking tub that features fabulous views of the Parroquia and Los Monjas. The fourth bedroom is cozy and closer to the main living area with a double-sized bed and a small en suite bath with shower. This home is not suitable for children under 10 years of age. Home Features: Sonos system throughout the house with a roam speaker for use outdoors, High Speed Wifi (200 Mbps), 6 Smart TVs. The house also offers internet TV. Full house purified water system, Yoga/Pilates equipment, and a massage table - If spa services are used, do not walk on the stone floors with oils and lotions on the bottom of feet. The floors are very porous and if stained are very difficult (and costly) to rectify. Maid WMF from 9 to 3pm; Gardner MWF 8:30-12:30. *The house staff does not work on Sundays or National Holidays.
