The area merged with the Rivierenbuurt in 1998 and, since 2010, it has been part of the borough Zuid. The neighbourhood lies between the A10 ring road, the Amstelpark, and the so-called ‘Sport Axis’ in the west, which includes the Amsterdam Forest.
