This part of Amsterdam was developed in the late 19th century and the housing in this area mostly consists of apartments. Amsterdam-West has approximately 143,000 residents in total, of which the age group from 25 to 45 forms the majority. Around 60% of the people here are single households, which makes the neighbourhood also a popular area amongst expats and international tenants and buyers.

Or, even more convenient, go by bike. There are several parking garages as well. The Vondelpark is perfect for a walk, cycling tour, or for doing sports like running.
