Santanyí is situated in the extreme southeast of Mallorca, about 56 km from Palma and some 12 km inland from the coastal resort of Cala D’Or with its charming marina, bars and restaurants. Among the many other beautiful bays in the area are Cala Llombards, Cala Santanyí and Cala Figuera where you can still see the traditional Mallorcan fishing boats coming in and out every day offering their wares for sale right in front of your eyes as you walk around the most picturesque old harbour of the island.
