This house is located in Vista Real, 1 km from Castro Marim. Situated on the right bank of the Guadiana River, this village presents numerous traces that confirm its occupation since ancient times: by Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Greeks, Romans, Visigoths, and Arabs. Its castle, rebuilt by Dom Afonso III, is proof of this. Every year, a famous Medieval Fair takes place there, within the castle walls, classified as a National Monument. This place boasts a significant handmade salt production industry and has a coastal area with several beaches, such as Praia Verde, Praia do Cabeço, and Praia da Alagoa (Altura). In addition to the coastal parish of Altura, this municipality comprises three other inland parishes: Castro Marim, Azinhal, and Odeleite. The latter is home to the Odeleite Dam, known among tourists as the "Blue Dragon Lake," as aerial images shared online have shown similarities between the dam's configuration and the forms of an Asian dragon. This area offers a wide variety of amenities and services, including restaurants, cafes, pastry shops, and is only a few minutes away from private health services. Just 10 minutes from the renowned Monte Rei golf course, this town has easy access to the A22 highway (Via do Infante). It is a 10-minute drive from the Spanish border and about 45 minutes from Faro International Airport.
