Kamatero is a settlement in the Municipality of Agioi Anargyroi-Kamatero and is part of the Western Suburbs of Athens. The area is built on the foothills of Poikilo Oros and it borders Petroupoli, Ano Liosia, Ilion and Zefyri. Features: Kamatero is known for the important archaeological findings, such as graves and houses, that have been discovered in its center. On top of the Profitis Ilias hill that overlooks the town of Kamatero, one can enjoy the view of the entire Attica basin and the Saronic Gulf. In the last few years, modern complexes of two-story houses have been built in sparsely populated neighborhoods of the area, which are ideal for families. The area is home to numerous green spaces and parks, such as the Peace Park, and is, also, a cultural center, with many events being organized in the various theaters of the area. Thanks to the characteristic elongated shape of the Municipality, Kamatero has its own life and identity around local squares and points of reference of each neighborhood. The neighborhood has many restaurants and leisure centers, movie theaters, sports fields and schools. Accessibility: Kamatero is accessible via Fylis Avenue, which connects the center of Athens to West Attica. There is, also, a trolleybus line that connects the area to Agios Antonios metro station in Peristeri. Investment Potential: Its close distance to major areas of the Western Suburbs, like Petroupoli, makes it an ideal area for investment.
