The Argüelles neighborhood was born during the Ensanche period and is a magnificent example of bourgeois Madrid. Bounded by the Parque de Debod and Princesa Street, it advances in a narrow strip from Plaza de España towards the Parque del Oeste, delineated by Pintor Rosales, Irún, Paseo Moret, Ferraz, Princesa, Plaza de España, and Cuesta de San Vicente streets. In its streets, palaces like that of Infanta Isabel de Borbón are preserved, along with old asylums and convents, such as the Buen Suceso. It is an ideal place to live, given its quite central location, its green surroundings in front of the Parque del Oeste and the Parque de la Montaña (where the Egyptian temple of Debod is located), and the presence of numerous shops, leisure areas, bars, and restaurants with their attractive terraces. Its streets host the largest number of original version cinemas in the city, and it has seen several important figures of Spanish cinema pass through its unique Walk of Fame. One of the most unique areas of the capital for its variety and excellent infrastructure with six schools, several early childhood education schools, a clinical health center, a specialties center, and its wide variety of supermarkets and restaurants. At the same time, the residents of this charming neighborhood enjoy the wonderful Parque del Oeste, considered one of the lungs of Madrid. Additionally, the district has excellent communications thanks to its proximity on one side to the M-30, the A-6, the Carretera de Castilla, and the Moncloa Interchange: with direct access to the Sierra of Madrid, and on the other hand access to the city center of the capital.
