Situated atop a hill, about 500 meters above sea level and a few kilometers from Alba, La Morra is a small gem nestled in the heart of the Langhe, whose fame has crossed national borders and is now famous worldwide. Since 2014, La Morra has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage list as part of the site "The Vineyard Landscape of Piedmont: Langhe-Roero and Monferrato." The velvety hills, cobblestone streets, and irregular roofs, arranged according to the ancient medieval layout, would be enough to make La Morra a picturesque location, a guardian of timeless traditions and architectural beauties. But the citadel offers much more: the so-called "red gold." All around the hills, precious vines are cultivated, among which the most renowned is Nebbiolo, from which Barolo and Nebbiolo d'Alba are produced. Precious grapes that, cultivated with wisdom, love, and expertise, give a wine known worldwide. In every street of the village, there are typical cellars and inns where one can taste not only the famous wine but also the fine local products. Hiking enthusiasts can take on the network of 7 trails, whose paths not only bring the visitor close to the great vineyards but also allow them to discover small fractions of La Morra, votive pillars, woods, and panoramic points. Just a stone's throw from the town center, a few minutes from Alba, Verduno, Barolo, and 2 hours from Milan and Genoa, in the Langhe cycling/MTB route (GTL+ – stage 2), there is mention of a "Fornace hamlet" and the chimney is indicated as a landmark. This means that the structure is visible from the outside and is a recognizable element within the hilly routes of La Morra. In the past, the area was an important production center, an integral part of the local economy, and indeed the locality where it stands takes its name from the kiln.
