Abando: Location and surroundings of this property

La Gran Vía, Don Diego López de Haro, main street of Bilbao. It is the commercial and financial center of the capital, home to numerous stores, public institutions, banks and emblematic houses. Named after the founder of the city in 1300, Don Diego López V. de Haro, Lord of Vizcaya, it was designed within the framework of the plans for the Ensanche of Bilbao, presented in 1876 by the architect Severino Achúcarro and the civil engineers Pablo de Alzola and Ernesto de Hoffmeyer, which was to be developed on the former Abando church.
