Marzagán is a village on the outskirts of the capital and, at the same time, close to the city, just over 12 kilometres away thanks to good road connections. Within a radius of 10 kilometres there are several points of interest: The American School of Las Palmas and The British School of Gran Canaria, the University Hospital Complex, Las Terrazas and El Mirador shopping centres and the oldest golf club in Spain, the Real Club de Golf de Las Palmas. For nature lovers, there is an ideal spot in the immediate vicinity, through the Barranco de las Goteras ravine. This path is very popular on the eve of the Carmen festivities, as in Las Goteras there is a small hermitage where the image of Our Lady of Carmen can be found. There are also other paths that lead to the Montaña de Bandama or to the peak of Jinámar.
