Right on the Lesser Quarter (Malá Strana) in Prague, there is a nice restaurant Meduzzy. The restaurant Meduzzy got a new operator, Mr. Vladyslav Bentsa, thanks to the Engel & Völkers team, represented by Gabriela Szőke, whose agenda is commercial rentals.

What were your criteria for choosing a restaurant? What did the space have to meet?
In the beginning we were looking for premises for a completely different bar concept, for a lounge bar. However, this restaurant totally appealed to us. Not only for the perfect location, but also for the already established name. We've already operate one restaurant in the city center, we are experienced and have staff available, so we took the opportunity to operate another restaurant, this time in this interesting location.
What is the current situation on the gastronomic market?
I am satisfied with the current situation. Of course, a lot needs to be done for this. The reastaurant has been open since the beginning of June 2023 and everything is going well, even the garden runs at full speed. The key factors are friendly and helpful service, quality cuisine and the use of first-class ingredients.
Have you already been in contact with Engel & Völkers in the past?
Yes, we were been already in touch with Mrs. Gabriela Szőke before, as I mentioned, we were looking for premises for another purpose, a lounge bar, but there was none on the market that suited us.
How do you rate your experience with the Engel & Völkers sales team?
I am really very satisfied with the cooperation. I positively assess the pleasant dealings and the speed of the cooperation. We requested premises for the restaurant at the beginning of May and the whole process took about a month, including the signing of the contract.
What are the differences between cooperation with Engel & Völkers and other real estate agencies?
Ms.Gabriela Szőke demonstrated high flexibility regarding the views and started quick and pleasant communication with us. I appreciate her honesty as she gave us truthful information, which is different from our previous experiences with other real estate agencies.
Are you already thinking about another space for rent and when?
Yes, we are still looking for spaces for the lounge bar, it is very specific. A suitable space has not yet appeared. Mostly the problem is with our requirement of opening hours until late at night, but we are in no rush, we believe that we will find a suitable space.
Who is your target customer group?
Our restaurant atracts different types of guests. Tourists who want to enjoy quality food while discovering local gastronomy. We also attract those looking for a quick lunch menu with a selection of tasty dishes. Our draft beer selection also attracts locals who like to indulge in this refreshing drink. Thanks to the location in the hotel building, we also attract guests who like to enjoy dinner in our restaurant as part of their stay.
What type of gastronomy can guests look forward to?
One of the advantages of this restaurant is that we have kept the original name "Meduzzy", but we have improved the strategy to make our customers as happy as possible. The concept of the restaurant is international cuisine.
Are you preparing something within your concept that will differentiate you from the competition, that will make you unique?
We take special care in selecting our staff to ensure a high level of service. We also focus on using quality ingredients, which are the key to creating tasty and quality meals. We would also like to emphasize that in our restaurant we have our own beer called Meduzza, which is a unique and tasty experience for our customers.
