Murau: Location and surroundings of this property
This beautifully curated property lies in the heart of the Lachtal region in the Mur valley, approximately 1.600 m above the sea level. Mountaineering, hiking or just enjoying the beautiful nature are a few of the many leisure activities that this region has to offer. Walking for just a short distance will reward you with a unique view of Hohe Zinken and Schießeck.
Should you be needing a more balancing way to relax and play a round of golf, the Golf course GC Kreischberg and GC Mariahof awaits your visit. Whether by bike or on horseback, you can easily visit one of the many swimming lakes and cultural attractions in the area. Furthermore, there are a lot of magnificent castles, forts, monasteries and museums to visit in this culturally and historically rich area.
During the winter you can choose from the large array of slopes to visit and ski on in the Lachtal-Kreischberg-Murau region. Ski resort Lachtal will provide you with a 36, and the Kreischberg resort with about 42 kilometer long array of ski slopes. The Turrach region is reachable in just a few minutes by car as well.
For those with a calmer vacation to this wonderful region in mind, you can for instance go snowshoe hiking or take a romantic carriage ride on a moonlit evening.
To relax after a long, athletic day on the slopes you can enjoy a regenerating swim in Therme Fohnsdorf.
