Engel & Völkers at the petanque tournament – looking back

We spent a beautiful August afternoon together with partners and friends of the French-Czech Chamber of Commerce (FČOK) in the beautiful gardens of Troja Chateau. The 16th annual petanque tournament took part there under the auspices of FČOK. Andreas von Schlik, Managing Partner of Prague Engel & Völkers, had the introductory word at the beginning of the ceremony. The other FČOK partners also had the opportunity to introduce themselves briefly in two minutes. We got an opportunity to get professional petanque training from real petanqué masters, Czech and French petanqué players. We were informed about the afternoon program, with whom we will play and how the game will take place. Teams always played against each other. A total of 112 teams participated, of which five were composed of representatives of our company.

How did the game go?

Sunny weather, pleasant August temperature and excellent and relaxed atmosphere on every corner of the grand gardens of Troja Chateau. During the game professional Pétanque players took care of us, who were willing to help us in solving at first sight undecided situations, it was an experience to see on your own eyes the players with experienced practice. A nice variegation was the opportunity to taste various French wines, which together with the banquet even underlined the relaxed atmosphere of the afternoon. Our most successful team out of our 5 participating teams placed in a beautiful 14th place.
