Engel & Völkers Mallorca North relocates in Puerto Alcudia

Clients new and old together with friends and colleagues from around the island were gathered together to celebrate the relocation of our shop in Puerto Alcudia on Thursday, May 2, 2019. Heralding the start of a fantastic summer season in the region, we were delighted to welcome so many guests to our event.

Having opened our first Engel & Völkers Mallorca North shop in Pollensa in 2001, then later shops in Puerto Pollensa and Puerto Alcudia, our highly experienced team of real estate agents is in the best position to assist clients interested in buying or renting a home in the beautiful region of north Mallorca with the best advice and service.

Over 130 guests enjoyed drinks and delicious canapes created by Grupo Amida while listening to the saxophonist Cacho Petrello. It was a balmy early summer’s evening and the party continued late into the early hours.

Leading real estate experts in Mallorca North expand with the reopening of a brand new shop in a new location in Puerto Alcudia

Business is booming in the former fishing village-turned-coastal-resort of Puerto Alcudia. With the re-opening of our brand-new shop, that pattern is set to continue helping to put the area firmly on the map for anyone interested in buying or renting a frontline, sea view apartment or villa in the area.

We were delighted and proud to hear clients sharing comments about how helpful and friendly our team is—testament to the hard work that everyone puts in on a daily basis. Toasting our success, licence partner Gary Hobson said: “You should all be very proud of yourselves for making the evening so special—I’m honoured to work with each and every one of you on a daily basis.”

Why Puerto Alcudia?

Puerto Alcudia originally served as a gateway from the north of Mallorca to other nearby islands, bringing goods and trade inland to nearby Alcudia. Today, it still offers ferry and boat services to Barcelona and Menorca but, in the last 40 years, it has grown into a popular holiday destination thanks to its 3km-long, white-sand beach. Just east of the port begins the 6km stretch of Playa de Muro: together they are widely regarded among of the finest beaches in Mallorca.

The calm and clear water makes Puerto Alcudia and Playa de Muro perfect for families with young children as well as offering extensive opportunities for snorkelling, windsurfing, and paragliding. Nearby attractions include a large waterpark and the challenging 18-hole Golf Alcanada (owned by the Porsche family)—Alcanada is a popular residential area of seaside villas. For those in search of a bit of culture, there’s the Yannick and Ben Jakober Foundation, a privately-owned sculpture park and art collection.

Alcudia town, which lies just a few kilometres inland is the island’s 3rd largest town. Founded by the Phoenicians, it has been colonised by just about every past civilisation including the Byzantines and Arabs. They have left behind a fine historic quarter, protected by a 14th century town wall. A year-round town, Alcudia brims with restaurants, cafes, artisan shops, bakeries and its popular open-air market. During the summer months, the town wall is used as a setting for open-air concerts and theatrical productions, too.

Owning a home in or around Puerto Alcudia makes for an excellent base for exploring the local area including the nature park in S’Albfuera—a haven for wildlife, bird-watching and hiking—as well as the other local towns and coastal villages including Can Picafort, Puerto Pollensa and Cala San Vicente.

We look forward to welcoming anyone interested in buying a home or renting a holiday villa in and around Puerto Alcudia to our new shop at Carrer dels Pins, 23, 07400 Port d'Alcúdia. Follow us on Facebook
