Children's Help Project in Son Gotleu

At Engel & Völkers we are very happy to announce that our collaboration with the first Aldeas Children’s Help Centre in Palma’s Son Gotleu district is making a positive impact on the community.

Recently our team met the centre’s manager Encarnación Jimenez to have a detailed look into the children’s help project that will provide day care to some 70 children from ages 3 - 14 years. Her daily business is full of tragic & sad stories, but also happy faces and success stories. This is what she has to say:

‘It´s another world, we all know it - but being there, talking to them, understanding their problems & needs you can even feel it. I am sure that little things bring lots of smile on the children´s faces. Together with all of you we can support them and try to convert this project it in a long-term-happy-smiling-partnership. Let´s do it!’

Currently they have 10 children between 3 and 14 years of age, however until summer they are expecting to have 40 children. Appallingly some basic necessities like clothes and toys are scarce and we at Engel & Völkers have come up with an idea of donating these items to the centre in order to bring a smile on the little children’s faces:

·  Clothes: Clothes are missing. Some kids do not have adequate shoes. One little girl came along with open-toed sandals during the cold days. 

Many of you have kids. Any clothes or shoes to sort out? Important: clean & good conditions. We would collect it in the Santa Maria office or Palma Paseo Maritimo office.

·  Toys: Toys are missing. Especially educative toys. (e.g.: Puzzles for 4 years of age or more, Chessboards, Dominoes, Twisters, Memory board games, Dolls with replaceable dresses, etc.)

Same like clothes: Happy to collect it in the Santa Maria or Palma Paseo Maritimo Office.

If you would also like to help those children please bring items to our offices in Santa Maria or Paseo Maritimo and we will be happy to transport them to the Children’s centre in Palma.
