What are Aquopolis Torrevieja’s attractions? How many?

CHILDREN’S ATTRACTIONS

CHARMED LAKE: A fantasy pool area where little children can let their imagination go wild. The Charmed Lake is a large water playground with a castle entrance, complete with fairytale houses, mini slides, fountains, and statues of imposing dragons that spit out jets of water.

MINI ZIG-ZAG: These winding slides are a smaller version of the big Zig-Zag attraction for adults, and still provide children with a fun experience of zig-zagging a slippery yet safe water slide down to the pool. Smaller children must be accompanied by their parents or guardians.

MINI PARK: The Mini Park features colorful playsets situated in the middle of a pool, with fountains spraying water all around, and a large tub at the top that spills its contents of water onto kids playing below. Monkey bars and mini slides comprise offer play areas where children can safely play in the water.

MODERATE ATTRACTIONS

CASCADA: A romantic Caribbean enclave, this area of the waterpark is washed by a shallow lake, and features large stone-like structures down which water ceaselessly cascades (hence the name). There are areas where couples can stay and relax under the waterfall while posing for a lovely photo.

AMAZONIA RIVER: Perfect for a fun and relaxing moment with a partner, family or friends, this attraction features a connecting river-like pool with a lovely island in the middle. The pool produces a strong but gentle current that pushes the swimmers along the 180-meter course of the ‘river’. Enjoy the soft and relaxing swaying of the water, as the excursion can be done on foot, by swimming, or riding a float.

TIROLINA: This attraction allows its riders to emulate an adventurer crossing a vast tropical jungle in search of treasure, or a soldier performing military training. Featuring a long zip-line that crosses the waterpark’s large lagoon pool, guests who ride it can test their strength and see whether they can make it across, or let go of the line and plunge into the refreshing water below.

 Torrevieja
- aquapolis spain speed racer 1.jpg

ZIG-ZAG: One of the most popular attractions in Aquopolis Torrevieja is the Zig-Zag, a set of numerous water slides that run the entire length of the waterpark’s ‘mountain’ all the way down to the wide expanse of pool below. The water slides have multiple twists, turns and swirls—some being around 18 meters high—which will guarantee a fun journey of more than a hundred meters.

WAVES BEACH: This pool gives a simulation of being at the beach, with gently-sloping ground and waves produced at the far end of the pool, receding as they near the ‘shore’. Guests can have a relaxing dip in the shallow waters, then slowly move towards the middle area where it feels like a calm sea. For those who want to demonstrate their swimming skills, the deeper part of the wave pool features turbulent waters, with waves that can rock swimmers and move them back to shore.

SPEED RACE: A wide, spongy flume with 4 lanes, the Speed Race attraction is perfect for those who want to slide down towards the pool at high speeds. Each lane is around 1.6 meters wide and 60 meters long. The water slide is divided into 3 steep jump-sections where sliders can feel themselves momentarily suspended midair before continuing the fast descent towards the big pool below.

 Torrevieja
- aquapolis water park spain.jpg

JACUZZI: In between fun rides and wild slides, guests would want a place to relax and rejuvenate. The Jacuzzi is the idyllic place to just sit down, destress and release tension. The cloud-shaped Jacuzzi features jets of water that act as a hydro-massage for the foot soles, back and arms. The water is heated at just the right temperature to be comfortable, and the surrounding area features palm trees and lush greenery for the perfect relaxation haven.

BLUE LAGOON: The Blue Lagoon is where many guests soak and enjoy a cool and refreshing dip under the pleasant Mediterranean sun. The large, irregularly shaped lagoon consists of colorful statues of mythical creatures, slides, waterfalls, and a relaxation zone, Polynesia. Above the lagoon can also be found the Tirolina zip-line.

 Torrevieja
- aqua park spain blue lagoon.jpg

BLACK HOLE: Ideal for those who want a suspenseful but not-so extreme ride, the Black Hole boasts of an enclosed tunnel flume that runs 110 meters. It gives an unnerving feeling of venturing into the unknown, as guests would have to ride a float through a black tube of fast-paced twists, turns, and complete 360° curves, while being engulfed in darkness, with only a few strobe lights to create a mysterious effect.

HIGH EXCITEMENT ATTRACTIONS

SPEED!: With a height of more than 10 meters, and a near-vertical inclination, this freefall water slide gives the feeling of falling into an abyss. Guests stand at the mouth, then descend into a freefall down the very steep water slide, feeling the ultimate rush of adrenaline as speeds reach up to 40kph, then eventually plunging in the pool in a huge and satisfying splash.

KAMIKAZE: Right beside the Speed! water slide is another extreme and highly thrilling attraction, the Kamikaze. Starting off with a gentle curve from the top, this water slide surprises with a sudden 45-degree drop, which allows the rider to be momentarily suspended mid-air, before continuing down the rest of the water slide at speeds of up to 50kph, until reaching the pool like a swift human bullet.

BOOMERANG: A precarious U-shaped water slide, the Boomerang is an attraction suited only for the bold and daring. With both ends at the height of 16 meters, this water slide takes its riders down one side at an extreme speed, only to be carried by momentum to the other side of the slide, where they will plunge down again—repeating until they are brought to an eventual stop in the middle of the slide. One should hold on tight to their floaters, as this attraction takes guests on a wild and exhilarating ride!

RED SLIDE: The red slide is a tube slide where guests journey through an enclosed flume that twists and turns all the way down to the pool.

Guests have to ride a float on this slide, and the experience is like riding a huge wave that uses momentum and speed to take the riders back and forth, until eventually coming to a stop in the middle.

In the shallow area of the pool are three small water slides for younger kids, including a ‘frog slide’ for toddlers. There is also a mushroom-shaped fountain where kids can stand and feel the water cascading down their heads like rain.
