Making contact
There are many paths to the real estate agent's profession and many very successful consultants come from professional backgrounds unrelated to this activity. This is why we welcome both profiles that are planning to change careers and real estate agents who are already experienced.
Contact is made in different ways: job offers, presentation during our career meetings, application via the dedicated form on this site, cooptation, etc. Depending on whether the application matches our brand and its values, our recruitment officers contact the candidate for an interview.
At the end of the interview, if the candidate is approved, he/she is directed to his/her potential future Team Leader for a second interview. During these exchanges, we confirm the adequacy of our operating system, the realities of the activity and the proposed sector with the professional project and the profile of the candidate. If the Team Leader gives a favorable opinion, the candidate will be invited to participate in the welcome days before signing the contract.
Engel & Völkers Welcome Days
This is a 48-hour discovery period that allows the candidate to get to know the main lines of business at Engel & Völkers before joining us.
During these two days, we present different aspects: the job, the processes, our tools & supports, our specificities, the remuneration, the legal procedures etc.
If this experience proves to be conclusive, after signing their contract we meet the consultants the following week for their integration training.
Engel & Völkers onboarding
Following the Welcome Days, consultants attend a two-week induction training course during which they learn the fundamentals necessary to start their business.
The Onboarding consists of face-to-face and e-learning trainings, practical workshops and regular field trips to put into practice. The Onboarding covers the essentials of what is important to master for the start-up.
The first steps in a team
At Engel & Vôlkers, the start-up is always accompanied. The Team Leader, the Assistant Team, the senior agents and the support functions are there to provide answers and support at all levels.
The Team Leaders systematically support the first important meetings (meeting an owner for a sale project, calculating and submitting estimates, signing mandates, negotiating offers, etc.) and the permanent interaction with the other members of your team allows you to progress rapidly and gain autonomy.
For confirmed profiles
According to the results obtained the previous year by a confirmed real estate agent who wishes to join us, we apply to his integration the percentage of remuneration envisaged by our grid, corresponding to the turnover which he had carried out.
