Built in 2006, the mansion, designed by Imre Makovecz, is tucked away among the gentle slopes of Páty far from all neighbors, perfectly blending into the surrounding environment. The 6000 m2 plot is surrounded by trees,while a 1000 m2 bath and fishing lake dominate the garden.
The house enjoys perfect harmony as the predominant material is wood and other natural materials. Recurring motifs can be found on doors, cabinets, furniture.
On the ground floor of the U-shaped building (240 m2 + 65 m2 terrace), a living room with an impressive ceiling height can be found with direct access to the kitchen and a porch facing the back garden. Leaning above the kitchen is a gallery that functions as a library (20 m2). One wing of the ground floor hosts the en suite master bedroom, three children’s rooms, a laundry room, a bathroom, and a large terrace. The other wing accommodates a guest room, a bathroom, a guest toilet and a two-car garage.
The brick-clad lower level (270 m2 + 55 m2 terrace) connects the rooms with delightful arched doorways. In addition to the large heated pool, an entertainment room, a sauna, a boiler room and many storage rooms have been created. In the cellar, some storage facilities are also suitable for storing vegetables.
A 1000 m2 lake, with a small island in the middle, lies in front of the house, which lends a special, unique microclimate throughout the summer. The lake constantly evaporates, so there is no scorching heat even in the hottest summers. The lake is also suitable for swimming and fishing.
