In order to enrich the dense calendar of this mounth, the traveling tours of WINE STREETtASTIng, organized by the cultural association CRE [AT] IVE of Asti, return to Asti.
On the evenings of September the 22nd and the 23th you will be devoted to good cooking, tasting typical dishes combined with the best local wines of excellence.
Over 50 structures in the historic centre will present their selection to delight everyone’s different taste. A culinary journey starting from Piazza Alfieri towards Via Cavour and Piazza San Martino, through Via Balbo, Via Quintino Sella, Piazza Roma and Via Garetti, to Via Testa.
The event will be hosted by well - known and recently opened spaces and venues, with restaurants, bars, wine bars, clubs, ice - cream shops and gourmet associations that will offer starters, first courses, desserts and cookies according to ancient recipes or original revisions, together with the wines of our territory.
Among the dishes offered, there will be the great classics of the Piedmont tradition but will not miss the local cheeses, fish-based contaminations and recipes coming from other areas of Italy.
Main attention will also be given to gluten-free dishes .
There will be also a tasting of beers, vermouth, passes, grappa and cocktails served by professional bartenders.
To be mentioned the presence of Alida Gotta, Master Chef's finalist, who will present her creation inside the courtyard of Palazzo dei Leoni, Via Balbo 4.
The food and wine route will start from the info point in Piazza Statuto. Visitors will find there the menus and the map to compose a personal "tasting diary": a cultural itinerary that will rediscover flavours and historical places and panoramic views of Asti’s ancient centre.
WINE STREETtASTIng, in addition to offering the best of local culinary and local winemaking, will be a good opportunity to get to know the artistic and architectural beauties, to visit the museums and learn more about the historic heart of Asti.
