Adro, a town in Franciacorta, Northern Italy, boasts a rich tradition of winemaking that dates back to the Middle Ages. To this day Adro continues to offer quality wines (the symbol also incorporated in the town's Coat-of-Arms) and producers in the area still embrace traditional methods of cultivation and production.
Located at the foothills of Monte Alto, Adro enjoys unobstructed view of gorgeous mountainside. Nature enthusiasts can revel in Monte Alto's hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails, its diverse flora and fauna, and the breathtaking views of the vast plains, distant Alps, magnificent churches, and the Stone Tower of Adro that stands on the ruins of the ancient castle.
Nearby Lake Iseo is only 6 kilometers from Adro and provides various options for recreational activities like boating, kayaking, and trekking along its banks. The town also has a performing arts theater, the Teatro Mucchetti, where concerts, musical plays, and other entertainment events are regularly held.
The village has preserved the quintessential small-town charm with the serene countryside setting that allows you to commune fully with nature. Most countryside properties are installed with modern amenities and have landscaped plots, flower gardens, and privacy fences. The architectural design, however, remains faithful to the traditional Italian construction, with clay tiles on gabled roofs, wrought-iron balconies, stone walls, and tall windows with external wooden shutters. The elegant country villas which are restored from century old farmhouses, have low pitched roofs, stucco walls, and garden terraces overlooking vineyards and olive groves. In the southern part of the town, you will find a small industrial zone that has contributed to the economic growth of Adro.

The train station of Borgonato-Adro is 10 minutes away while the Il Caravaggio Orio al Serio International Airport is 20 minutes away by car. The closest exit to the A4 motorway is a 5 minutes drive.
