LONG LIVE THE BOHO CHIC STYLE
Bohemian style has been enchanting people since time began. Even this year it’s at the top of the charts of the most popular trends and that also goes for the gardens and green spaces in our Villas in Arona. But this summer we could taste something new, especially in terms of fabrics. If the use of chandeliers, big carpets and comfortable pillows has remained unchanged, what really made the difference it’s the use of fabrics such as velvet, leather and chenille, which have been rarely used for the outdoors so far.
MAKE SPACE TO SUSTAINABILITY
It’s been years since when we started talking about sustainability, but in the last few years it’s become one of the most debated matters in everyday life and even at home. The use of natural materials, coming from sustainable and renewable sources, has conquered the interior design as well as the decor of outdoor spaces did and, especially in this last case, has found its maximum inspiration in rattan. What are we talking about? It’s a plant fiber obtained from the processing of climbing palm trees from South East Asia: it grows very fast and doesn’t need to be watered. That’s why it’s considered an extremely sustainable and renewable material.

STRONG COLOURS
Orange, red, yellow and this year even coral. Brilliant, bright colours, that in an outdoor space under the scorching sun of summer couldn’t be missing. Once people used to cook indoors and, if they wanted to enjoy their meal in the open air, they normally brought all dishes to the garden. But times have changed: today the trend is to move the kitchen outdoors to host friends and relatives more comfortably. And what are the most popular materials? Masonry or aluminium. If we’re talking colours, warm wood tones are dominant, especially because they make a good match with the green of the garden and the blue of the sky.
THE FAR NORTH HAS CONQUERED THE CITY
The cold wind blowing; the waves crashing against the black sand; the spectacular Nordic landscapes. A well defined style was needed to recall these details in the gardens of our Arona villas and so it was.
