A new star restaurant in the province of Siena

The L’Asinello restaurant located in Villa a Sesta in the municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga has been awarded by the Michelin Guide for the high quality of the products and dishes on the menu and also the excellent management of the room. The chef and owner Senio Venturi was trained in the kitchens of the famous chefs Gianfranco Vissani and Riccardo Agostini. Together with his wife he founded the restaurant L’Asinello in the Chianti area in the early 2000s.

His cuisine is based on respect for the great Tuscan tradition and the genuine flavors of its countryside. Everything is made with raw materials from local producers. Those who visit L’Asinello will not taste something sophisticated and not even the “trends of the moment” but will find instead dishes that bring back to a cuisine of the past.

"Situated at the entrance to a romantic village in the Chianti region, this former stable has been converted into a quiet, elegant restaurant by a friendly young couple. At the helm in the kitchen, the husband champions traditional cuisine which is minimalist in its choice of flavours and made from just a few well-balanced ingredients.
