Once again, this year, San Vito lo Capo will be Italy's most colourful beach with one of the highly awaited events, which every year lights up its sky with a thousand colours and is able to enchant everyone, young and old.
An atmosphere of joy and creativity will populate the streets of the seaside village for seven days, involving participants and spectators with its messages of peace, freedom, and eco-sustainability. The festival, born in 2009, is a real kermess where kite flyers from all over the world perform by literally filling the sky with kites of all types: single-strand, multi-coloured, single-coloured, giant and acrobatic, of many shapes, colours, and sizes, in the enchanting setting of the crystal-clear sea of San Vito, with its golden beach and the view of Mount Cofano in the background.
During these days, many entertainment activities are organised: shows, children's workshops, kitesurfing and paragliding exhibitions, and evening shows in the town square.
Among the many activities, it is possible to take part in kite manufacturing and then watch the beautiful night flight with music and light games, a particularly impressive spectacle.
This year, the event is also enriched with tasting moments, and every day, in the 'Village of the Wind', it will be possible to enjoy excellent street-food. In addition, among the planned initiatives is a special kite flight to commemorate the Capaci bombing of 23 May, on its 30th anniversary.
As in other years, this unmissable event represents a moment of healthy fun for all ages, but also of relaxation for lovers of the beach, sea, and good food. As well as a time for reflection on of peace, tolerance, and inclusion.
