1. A book
The very inspiring "Essay on Blindness" by José Saramago.
"Siddharta" by Herman Hesse. A book about a man's spiritual journey of self-discovery.
Murakami's books move me every time I read them. But my favourite writer has to be García Marquez: "One Hundred Years of Solitude", "Love in the Time of Cholera" and "Chronicle of a Death Foretold" are the must-read books from this author.
2. A phrase
Anything from Oscar Wilde. He is a genius with a level of wit and irony: "Life is too important to be taken seriously."
In work-related terms, the classics from Henry Ford, a visionary: “The only thing worse than training your employees and having them leave is not training them and having them stay” or “If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses. "
3. A place
The terrace of our family home in Caldetas. My parents always said they bought the sea view with the house. We have enjoyed some very special moments there; meals with friends under the wisteria, memorable family parties, unforgettable summers and drink nights with an incredible moon reflection in the sea.
4. A song
"Contigo" by Fito Paez. The concert version where he performed a duet with Joaquín Sabina.
5. A sport
My hobby: horse riding and any sports involving horses, from the classic dressage and show jumping to polo or just riding in the countryside.
6. A movie
“A Clockwork Orange”, a surprising classic with beautiful photography, language, costumes, music and the message behind the movie.
This is very easy! India. It is not just a destination but a once-in-a-lifetime trip.
8. A favourite restaurant / food
El Gaig and its version of Crema Catalana (Catalan cream). I love this dessert.
9. Your perfect day
Drinking a glass of Vermouth (wine) with bravas (tapas-style potatoes), enjoying the sea views from the terrace, and spending a pleasant day with my friends.
10. A person you admire
No-one famous in particular. I admire people who are at peace with themselves and who are happy with the simple things in life.
And with regard to the people in my life, everyone around me from whom I learn every day: my parents and my sister; the people I spend many hours at work with who have become my second family; and my friends.
