This charming 60 m2 apartment is located on the 8th floor of the Palacio Salvo facing north, towards Avenida 18 de Julio. It was completely renovated by the architects Valentina Garramon y Patricia Aguerre and comes fully furnished. The style was accomplished with a combination of high ceilings and crown molding, along with restored hardwood floors. We are welcomed by a spacious hall from where you enter the bright living and dining area giving space to create a peaceful area in the heart of the city of Montevideo. The open kitchen offers all the necessary utensils and comes with all appliances, e.g. built-in oven, stove, microwave, refrigerator, washing machine and 80-liter water heater. The floors are made of laminated pinotea wood or polished monolithic floor. The living room is equipped with air condition and two electric radiators, the sofa can be turned into a bed hosting two people. The bedroom offers a queen size bed and a well-equipped walk-in closet. The recycled New York style bathroom is accessible from the entrance and consists of a spacious walk-in shower.
In the basement of the Palacio Salvo there are parking lots to rent on a monthly base for aprox. 80 USD. It has a direct connection to each floor by the service elevator.

Ciudad Vieja: Location and surroundings of this property
Located in the heart of Montevideo, a few feet from to the Presidency, the Palacio Salvo, is the emblematic building of Uruguay. The building was built by the Italian architect Mario Palanti and referred to as "The Eiffel Tower of Montevideo" by artist Alfredo Ghierra The building was originally intended to be a hotel, but this plan didn't work out, and it has since been occupied by a mixture of offices and private residences. The building has a height of 95 m (312 ft). While the set of antennas was at its top, its total height was 100 m (330 ft). The antennas were permanently removed in November 2012. At present, on that same historic site, inside Palacio Salvo, the Tango Museum of Montevideo is open to the public and exhibits the history of La Cumparsita and of Uruguayan Tango.
