Soroni: Location and surroundings of this property

Location: The villages Fanes and Soroni are situated about 23 kilometers southwest of Rhodes town, on the west coast of the island. Unique features: Both villages have few inhabitants, who are either occupied with agriculture or tourism. It is said that the name Fanes comes from the word lamp, as the lighthouse was situated in this area, or because it was the region of the Temple of Apollo Phanaios. Soroni is close to Agios Soulas, a chapel within extensive grounds, a tavern and a play area.
