Matthieu, when a finance frenchie meets a German Tech Company

What’s your name and where are you from? 

Hi there, I’m Matthieu from France. I’ve been living in Paris and just moved to Hamburg for a new life.

What do you do at E&V Technology? 

I’m Senior Manager for E&V Technology Finance. Let’s resume my tasks in three words (Finance, Procurement and Contract management).

What are some of the challenges you have faced so far?

The classic one: remember all the names of my lovely colleagues as well as all the Techi wordings to learn in a week in order not to be seen as a “Loser” :)

Oh sorry ! I forgot to talk about German language, I’m learning slowly but surely.

My typical day at E&V includes..

Who said financial guys were living in a routine life… My daily question is how to make my job, my reports, my analysis understandable for you guys.

What technology are you most excited about working with next?

I’m still far away for the Techi community, but I’m sure we can create a Technology and prove Finance is as sexy as the next upcoming revolutionary tool :)

What was a great surprising thing you discovered after joining E&V? 

The great atmosphere and friendship within E&V Technology. It’s a real pleasure to see everyday people liking their jobs and reflecting it through a smiley face.
