What’s your name and where are you from? 

I’m Jonas Alves Simões, and I’m from Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

What do you do at E&V Technology? 

I’m a software developer, working with the search team, in the iOS app.

What are some of the challenges you have faced so far?

To remember all the names, to understand all the projects that the company have and how they work but I've to say that all my colleagues made all my onboard process very easy, especially the fact that we had other Brazilians working here.

My typical day at E&V includes..

Meetings with my team, planning what tasks to do during the day, open the search app many times a day, develop new features and fix some bugs and having fun with my colleagues.

What technology are you most excited about working with next?

I’m particularly interested in machine learning, but also I love the new possibilities that we get every year with the new mobile phones being released.

What was a great surprising thing you discovered after joining E&V? 

The diversity of culture in E&V Tech, how friendly people are here, how big the company is and the many opportunities to collaborate in improving how things are done. 

I like my coffee…?

Strong, pure and sometimes with a little bit of milk, double espresso or cappuccino, always without sugar and sometimes something more sweet like a caramel latte.
