The farmhouse is located in an area of fields and meadows, near the church of Sant Sadurní de Malanyeu. La Nou de Berguedá is a municipality in the Berguedà region, in the province of Barcelona, located to the left of the Llobregat river and near the Baells reservoir. La Nou is a municipality of about 147 inhabitants, at 900 meters above sea level, with excellent views and surrounded by forests of red pine, oaks, and holm oaks. It is about 120 km from the city of Barcelona, about 90 minutes by road. It is in the Sierra del Catllaràs, very close to the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park (with the Pedraforca that presides over it), the French border and Andorra. The closest city is Berga (16,000 inhabitants, about 16 km from La Nou) where basic services are located.
Access to La Nou is direct from a detour on the C-16 highway (also called Eje del Llobregat, a European road that connects the city of Barcelona with France and Andorra through the interior). Its location makes it an absolutely quiet place. Its altitude makes the climate very cool in summer and sunny in winter. The town also has a small playground, an outdoor sports court and a social venue. In winter, the closest ski slopes are in La Masella.
