Formed in the sixteenth century in the valley of the river, next to the Queralt mountain range, Bellprat is a small rural municipality nestled in an environment of extraordinary beauty. It is located on a small hill (653 meters above sea level) between meadows that, as its name suggests (Bellprat means “beautiful meadow”), are of great beauty and are surrounded by Mediterranean forest that invites to be strolled. With only 72 registered inhabitants (in the year 2023) and apparently isolated, one might think that it is a town far from modern life, however, it is well connected, just 25 minutes from Igualada, capital of the region of Anoia, where we will have all the services (hospital, primary care centers, university, schools, institutes, restaurants, supermarkets, ...). There are other nearby towns with basic services, such as Santa Coloma de Queralt (8 minutes away) or Sant Martí Tous (15 minutes away). The A2 highway will take you to Barcelona in 1 hour and 15 minutes. By the C15 we will be at the beach of Sitges or Vilanova i la Geltrú in 1 hour, the same time we will need to get to Tarragona. Surrounded by mountains and fields, the place invites you to do activities with family and friends, such as hiking or cycling. Visit the property and take time to stroll around its surroundings, full of charming corners and history.
