Port d’Alcúdia belongs to the municipality of Alcúdia and is a 45-minute drive from the island’s capital, Palma de Mallorca. This northern town, with almost 5,000 inhabitants, has the Alcudiamar marina and a commercial port with ferry connections to Barcelona, Valencia, Menorca and France (Toulon). Port d’Alcúdia stands out above all for its 7 km white-sand beach called Alcúdia Beach (Catalan: Platja d’Alcúdia); it features a promenade and access points adapted for people with disabilities and connects with Playa de Muro. This popular destination for both local and foreign families offers a wide range of properties for sale with a tourist rental licence. In Port d’Alcúdia there is also a water park, the only one in the north of the island—Hidropark. A growing area next to Port d’Alcúdia, facing the Bay of Alcúdia, is undoubtedly Alcanada (Cat.
