Location: Centre, Sóller

Sóller, a lively town in the heart of the Tramuntana mountain range near the island’s beautiful west coast, is home to some of Mallorca’s most exclusive real estate: townhouses, traditional rural properties, and elegant villas. It is a 30-minute drive from Palma, connected by a direct route thanks to its free tunnel. Sóller fostered international citrus trade during the 18th and 19th centuries, driving the construction of the railway to Palma in the early 20th century. Shortly afterwards, the tram between Sóller and its port was inaugurated. With their striking original carriages, the Palma train and the tram continue to delight tourists. Sóller’s cosmopolitan lifestyle made it one of the country’s Modernist centres. Among its Modernist houses and buildings, the Church of Sant Bartomeu in the central square stands out. The town offers first-class infrastructure, with supermarkets, shops, healthcare services, and sports facilities. Sóller is ideal for hiking, mountain biking, or climbing, and the Son Termes golf course is less than a 20-minute drive away. It has an appealing range of restaurants, bars, and cafés, excellent hotels and wellness centres, and its Saturday craft market is very popular. It features a wonderful botanical garden, museums such as the Can Prunera Modernist Museum, and an exhibition of works by Joan Miró and Pablo Picasso at the Railway Station, originally the summer house where the two artists met. The town hosts popular fairs and annual festivals, such as “Es Firó” and the Port de Sóller Classical Music Festival.
