Description

This historic manor house with pool and beautiful garden is located in the heart of the sought-after mountain village of Alaró. Set on a generous plot, the property offers exceptional space both indoors and outdoors for a home situated in the village centre. It is ideal as an impressive family residence with ample space for guests and staff. The property enjoys views of the surrounding mountains and the historic Castell d’Alaró. Originally dating from 1900, the house was completely renovated in 2016. It currently offers seven bedrooms and six bathrooms, including a separate apartment consisting of a living area, two bedrooms, a bathroom and a storage room. This independent apartment is ideal as guest accommodation or staff quarters, but could also easily be transformed into an impressive master suite. The living areas on the ground floor open onto a picturesque courtyard and a charming and spacious garden — a true rarity for a property located in the centre of the village. The garden is characterised by lush Mediterranean vegetation and features a swimming pool and a pond with a water feature, creating a wonderful Mediterranean atmosphere and the perfect setting for enjoying time outdoors with family and friends. The property also includes a garage, which has most recently been used as a workshop and bicycle storage. The size of the garage and the convenience of private parking are particularly valuable advantages for a property located in the village centre. Features include air conditioning, central heating, several fireplaces, mains utilities and internet connection. The property was previously successfully operated as a boutique hotel and still offers the possibility to generate income should the future owners wish to continue a small hospitality project. Alaró lies at the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana and is one of the most desirable villages in this region. It offers numerous restaurants, cafés and shops, as well as a vibrant international community. The convenient access to Palma and the airport, as well as the proximity to beautiful beaches, several international schools and various golf courses, further enhances the appeal of this central island location. Additional features: mains electricity, town water, oil central heating, split air conditioning.

Location: Alaró, Balearic Islands

The picturesque town of Alaró is located in a quiet valley between two well-known mountains at the south of the Sierra de Tramuntana. It’s set in the centre of the island and has currently over 5,000 inhabitants. Palma is within a 20 minute drive, as well as the nearest beaches and the airport. This small, yet lively town has numerous restaurants, supermarkets, schools, chemists, banks and much more. It stands out for its ancient architecture and the narrow cobbled streets in the oldest part of the town, which offer a traditional charm, as well as the nature that surrounds it. Its inhabitants of all types of nationalities provide it with a magnificent cultural diversity. One of the best-known places is the Castell d'Alaró, which has stunning views of the Majorcan countryside and the bay of Palma, and is about two hours walk away from the town centre. Alaró is well-chosen by cyclists and hikers since it has some of the best routes on the island. The most important industry was the footwear industry, which had over 30 factories. Nowadays the Tony Mora workshop can still be found in Alaró, which is worldwide known for its handmade cowboy boots.
