Son Serra de Marina is a wide sandy beach located in the Bay of Alcúdia, within the municipality of Santa Margalida, between Can Picafort and Colònia de Sant Pere. Its coarse, brownish sand mixes at the shoreline with remains of posidonia, reminding us of the natural and virtually unspoiled character of this beach, over one kilometer long and 25 meters wide. Its crystal-clear waters—often shimmering and usually very calm—invite swimming and complete relaxation. The landscape alternates stretches of sand with small rocky areas and is backed by a protected dune system that enhances its wild charm.
At the far right, the Torrent de na Borges flows into the sea, a natural boundary between the municipalities of Santa Margalida and Artà. On the left are the facilities of the Serra Nova Yacht Club. The area has no hotels, so the atmosphere is especially quiet; nearby buildings are mainly villas and single-family homes.
Son Serra de Marina is ideal for lovers of outdoor activities. Snorkeling is one of the most recommended options, especially by the rocks and at the stream mouth.
