Description

We present this beautiful and cherished property whose origin dates back to the 17th century and whose coat of arms on the main facade dates from the year 1900. At one time, it was a property of the monks of Sant Miquel dels Ries and many years later, after enduring wars and being repurposed for various uses according to the needs of the locality, it was acquired privately by a family who understood the significance of the building when initiating restoration works. These works extended over several years due to the poor state of the roofs and interior layout. Therefore, its owners developed a challenging project that combined history with functionality and transformed the property into a grand home. The entire layout of the building, which has facades on three streets, is distributed over three main floors. Given the slope of the building, which rests on a hillside, it has direct access from the street through the main door and also direct access to the third floor from the street behind. When we enter the building from the main door, we already appreciate the curious layout all oriented towards the cozy courtyards. Two bedrooms with a living room and bathrooms incorporated on both sides, a small patio with a covered porch that connects to the main staircase accessing the upper floor, a beautiful kitchen with a fireplace, a room designated as a pantry and storage, and access to the large courtyard with a central fountain. From this courtyard, we access the old stables, now a fully usable and restored room. This courtyard is completed by the large machine room (central heating of the building, tanks, and others), a small natural cave that beautifies the building, and the old service staircase connecting the three floors. All the rooms have an independent air conditioning unit. The first floor has been mainly used as the main residence until today: a central living room with windows to both courtyards, from which one can access the complete kitchen with a fireplace, courtesy bathroom, two interconnected living rooms, one with a fireplace, the independent laundry, the master bedroom with an incorporated bathroom and immense dressing room, and another bedroom with an incorporated bathroom with a whirlpool tub and antechamber. Several of these rooms could be transformed according to the needs and purpose of the property, into more perfectly adequate bedrooms. The third floor is accessed by the service staircase. Upon arrival, we find a large terrace that houses a beautiful pool, a large conditioned and attic multipurpose room, and the rest of the floor is completely open to convert and work on it as one wishes. The roofs are new, as are the installations, and the client could even envision in their dreams the purpose of all the rooms and available square meters in the entire building, even a boutique hotel.
