Bunyola is a small village at the foot of the Sierra de Alfábia, surrounded by the Serra de Tramuntana, with around 7,000 inhabitants and a large municipal area. Bunyola is one of the six largest municipalities on the entire island. The municipal area includes dreamy places such as Orient and the luxurious villa district of Sa Coma, as well as the two historic estates Alfábia and Raixa. Among the great treasures of this idyllic region is the so-called “Sa Comuna”, one of Mallorca’s largest publicly accessible forest areas, with a cultural hiking trail. In the center of Bunyola are the Church of San Mateo and the main square, where you can enjoy a good coffee and the tranquil atmosphere of the area. The historic Sóller wooden railway passes the old Bunyola station on its way to Palma. The village is characterized by its peace and quiet, the beauty of its narrow lanes, the architecture of its old stone houses, and its proximity to and good connections with Palma.
