Location: Moncloa - Aravaca, Madrid

Geographically located between the two great lungs of the capital, the El Pardo hill and the Casa de Campo, Aravaca is a privileged enclave, surrounded by nature. At the same time, it is very well connected to the center of Madrid via the A-6 highway (Madrid-La Coruña) and the M-500 highway (Castilla Road that links the University City with the A-6, crossing the Casa de Campo and the Country Club). Since its incorporation into the capital in the fifties, the district of Aravaca has become a middle-upper class residential area with horizontal urban planning characterized by gated communities of chalets. From the late eighties onwards, various urban developments considerably increased its population. The neighborhood expanded south and west until it physically merged with the town of Pozuelo de Alarcón. In the expansion, the urban pattern of the rest of the neighborhood was followed but with wider streets and avenues. In the early years of the 21st century, Aravaca has become one of the areas with the highest per capita income and social level in the entire municipality of Madrid, attracting high-income home buyers. It has two Cercanías railway stations on lines C-7 and C-10 (Aravaca and El Barrial-Centro Comercial Pozuelo). Additionally, there is the Light Metro 2 station of the Madrid Metro. Given its location, it has several intercity bus lines and also the Municipal Transport Company. The intercity lines (656, 656A, 657, 657A, and 658) cross Aravaca heading towards Pozuelo; and the EMT has four lines that cover the neighborhood: 160 (Moncloa-Aravaca), 161 (Moncloa-Aravaca Station, via Valdemarín), 162 (Moncloa-El Barrial, via La Florida) and also the university line I (University City-Campus of Somosaguas). Regarding social facilities, it has renowned private educational institutions (Colegio Bernadette, Colegio Estudio, The English Montessori School, Colegio Los Robles, or Colegio Santa Maria de los Rosales), and public ones (Gerardo Diego Secondary Education Institute, Aravaca Public School, Rosa Luxemburgo Public School). Similarly, in the healthcare sector, prestigious corporations have chosen this district for their hospitals (Sanitas La Zarzuela Hospital and NISA Pardo de Aravaca Hospital).
