La Marina is located on the Mediterranean coast in the south of the province of Alicante on the Costa Blanca. It lies at the foot of the Sierra del Molar, very close to the town of Guardamar del Segura and the salt flats of Santa Pola. It has beaches, but no urban beaches, stretching over 12 kilometers through a nature reserve, surrounded by dunes and large pine forests. The main beach in this area is La Marina Beach, a very beautiful, long beach with fine, golden sand. Equipped with the blue flag for maritime supervision, rental of loungers and umbrellas, tourist information, wooden walkways, two hotels, and opportunities for water sports, thanks to a boat station. It is located between the beaches of El Pinet and Les Pesqueres-El Rebollo, accessible via the N-332, and 300 meters further is the town of La Marina with numerous restaurants, cafes, pharmacies, and supermarkets, as well as other services. Moreover, La Marina has a resort/international campsite of the highest category "High Comfort" (one of the best on the Spanish Mediterranean), the main attraction for foreigners. Other beaches include Les Pesqueres with a length of 1,100 meters, and further south is the beach of Los Tusales of Guardamar del Segura. The Pinet Beach reflects a more traditional aspect with cottages, restaurants, and two hostels on the same sandy beach. Excellent location, only 25 minutes from the international airport El Altet (Alicante) and 14 km from the beautiful city of Elche, which has been declared a World Heritage Site. The main access to La Marina is via the N-332. There is also a regular bus service connecting to Elche and the municipality of San Fulgencio.
