Location: Ariany, Balearic Islands

The small village of Ariany lies on a hill in the Pla de Mallorca, in the central-eastern part of Mallorca. It has about 900 inhabitants and is characterized by its seclusion and discretion. The beautiful Mallorcan landscape is ideal for escaping hectic city life. The quiet village center and the spectacular view from the church—thanks to its strategic hilltop location, from which the entire Pla de Mallorca can be seen—make you feel as if you have traveled back in time. Ariany offers two very interesting hiking routes: one follows the paths of Ariany, and the other, called Camí d'Ariany i Petra. Ariany also features beautiful natural scenery. Ariany is a municipality devoted to livestock farming and agriculture, especially cereal cultivation, which is why mills can still be found today that were formerly used to grind grain and produce bread flour. The main attraction is the Parish Church of the Virgin of Atocha. The village is less than 30 minutes from the nearest beaches, about 40 minutes from the airport, and just under an hour from Palma city center.
