Nea Makri is an area of northeastern Attica and belongs to the municipality of Marathon. It is bordered to the north by the historic city of Marathon, to the south by Rafina, to the west with the Pendeli Mountain and Dionysos and is bordered by the South Evian Gulf on a coastline of about 14 km.
